3-0 Loss DA-Lindesberg

Tonights match against Lindesberg was a tough upward battle for RIG. Linde served well and executed on the outside. They had power from their professional outside attacker and recent RIG graduate Sofia Stiernström. 

All sets ran basically the same. Lindesbergs serve was on point, making it difficult for RIG in receive which therefore affected the middle attack. Little things were getting past RIG in a big way. Responsibility in certain areas was unclear and an easy ball would then be made difficult. RIG did well on the outsides getting to an attack, however many unforced errors led to dips. Both setters, Ella Sandberg and Tyra Areskoug tried to push the ball to the middles, but tonight, it wasn't clicking as well as it has in the past. It can be difficult to play well when an entire team is struggling to gain a lead.

What was working well were the sets to P.2 or the 10. What also helped, were the attacks down the line from position 4 when their setter was front row. RIG's defense looked well balanced but had trouble with balls that were tipped or attacked in the deep corners. All things said, RIG is definitely capabble to bounce back from this loss. They are motivated and strive for a higher level. With the Christmas break coming, it is good for them to take time away from the court and spend it with family. To refocus for the second half of the season coming up. 

Mentionable players: Wilma Calmfors had a high percentage game in attack which helped the setters stay confident in her as a right side. MVP of the match, Isabelle Reffel, had some great kills and even though she was being picked on in receive, she stood her ground and put up settable receives almost every time. Ida Larsson made her first Elite team appearance tonight and recorded 3 kills in the 3rd set, congrats Ida!
